Job Summary:
The Project Supervisor oversees on-site activities during the implementation of interior design and construction projects. This role ensures that work progresses according to plans, specifications, and safety regulations, while managing workers, subcontractors, and resources efficiently to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. On-Site Supervision
- Oversee daily on-site activities to ensure smooth operations and adherence to project plans.
- Monitor progress against schedules and report updates to the Project Manager.
- Inspect work for compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and building codes.
2. Workforce Management
- Coordinate and manage workers, subcontractors, and vendors to meet project deadlines.
- Allocate tasks and ensure optimal utilization of labor and materials.
- Address and resolve on-site issues or conflicts promptly.
3. Safety and Compliance
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations at the worksite.
- Conduct regular safety checks and briefings with the team.
- Address hazards or unsafe practices to maintain a safe working environment.
4. Quality Control
- Review construction and installation processes to maintain high-quality standards.
- Identify and rectify defects or deviations from the approved plans.
- Communicate quality concerns to designers, engineers, or management as needed.
5. Resource Coordination
- Manage the delivery and storage of materials, tools, and equipment on-site.
- Monitor material usage and minimize wastage.
- Ensure timely procurement of required resources to prevent delays.
6. Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, work progress, and site conditions.
- Prepare and submit daily or weekly site reports to the Project Manager.
- Document and communicate incidents or delays impacting the project timeline.
7. Client and Stakeholder Interaction
- Communicate with clients during site visits and address immediate concerns.
Collaborate with designers, architects, and other stakeholders to clarify on-site requirements
Job Requirement:
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and standards.
- Familiarity with construction drawings, blueprints, and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Basic computer skills (e.g., MS Office, project tracking software).
Certifications (Preferred)
- OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) Certification.
- First Aid Certification.
